If you couldn’t guess/estimate the url/site name authenticity and clicked on the link pay attention to the further page displayed. Any genuine site will give you the information right away, without asking to click or paste some java script code etc. If the page is asking to do similar activities avoid doing so and close that page.

Javascripts can run on client side machines, which is nothing but your own computers and laptops and based on the coding it can access any sort of information and destroy them. So pay attention to that. Simply avoid executing java scripts.

Identifying Javascripts are simple look at the code which the the site has asked to copy paste, it starts with “javascript” keyword. For that matter avoid executing such instructions whether its javascript or something else.
