Avoid waiting before you download in download sites using SkipScreen Firefox Addon

Most annoying thing for free users in the most of the download sites like rapidshare, mediafire is waiting for 45 - 60 secs before we can download the file.

SkipScreen is an excellent addon for Firefox which helps us to skip this section and get the Download link directly.

Get a Google Wave Invite

Google has announced about a new way of communication and collaboration tool Google Wave few months ago in the IO summit. They released a Developer preview release to the developers who participated in the IO summit and also to some of the early birds who requested for a Wave Account ( Luckily I got one ;) )

Now they have released Google Wave for individuals on a limited basis. If you got a Google Wave account you will get a new email/wave address as xyz@googlewave.com and the 'xyz' will be your Google ID. Currently Google Wave account is opened up via invites only as we had it during the initial launch of Gmail. Any Wave user can invite eight friends to Google Wave as of now, Google might increase the invite limit going forward.

Transmit Google Wave is a site which brings all the Wave users together so that the invites can be shared and can spread the Google Wave usage. You will be able to either request a Google Wave account or you can share the invites you have if you are an existing Wave user.

New Look for Mozilla

Mozilla has changed the look and feel of one of its portal mozilla.org . Earlier Mozilla changed the look for Mozilla.com and then labs.mozilla.com. Now its the turn of mozilla.org to look good.

mozillaOrg_NewLook

If you want to navigate to Mozilla Projects look for Top Left corner of the page, there is no separate link to Mozilla labs. You will be able to reach Mozilla labs via Projects page only

In fact there is no change in the Mozilla Wiki, Mozilla Blogs, they all have the same look as they had earlier.

Bookmark Sync:

Google is back with Browser sync on chrome. Earlier Google had a Firefox Bookmark Sync addon, which got discontinued after the arrival for Mozilla Weave for firefox.

Now Google has come back with same for chrome, this time instead of a separate server space to save the bookmarks, Google is using docs to store the book marks. Bookmarks will be only available as read-only in Google Docs

Using bookmark sync you can sync your chrome bookmarks across multiple computers

You need to enable "--enable-sync" to enable bookmark sync functionality in the latest dev build.

Find a Chrome shortcut on your desktop, right-click, select "Properties" and append a flag to the target field: --enable-sync. Restart the browser to use the new option.

After starting chrome with sync enabled, you can see "Sync my Bookmarks" option under "Customize and Manage Chrome" tool which is found on the right hand top corner just below the "x" close button.
